About Project: The 24 Hours of LeMons is a series of endurance races held on paved road race courses across the United States, Australia and New Zealand. The series holds the Guinness World Record for the “most participants in one race”.
It is claimed to be the biggest and cheapest motorsport event on the planet. Buy a stock standard ‘Lemon’ (= no performance mods!) and bung some safety gear into it. Theme and dress up your car and drivers then drive it around a professional racetrack for up to 24 hours.
Prizes for teams that last the distance – penalties for those with ‘misplaced talent’ – fun for everyone.
In Ipswich Queensland Raceway hosts 24 LeMons.
Our club became involved though club member and past president Keith Lewis.
Funds raised go to Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.
